Purple Glitter Party

Here are four purples that needed an outing.

Quickly:
No top coat, two coats, and over a neutral base (Orly Bon Bon)

Enjoy!

L.A. Girl Glitter Addict Euphoria

This is a soft small blurple glitter packed with larger purple holographic hexes.

This collection came out a few years ago and is still on the L.A. Girl's website. They have changed their formula, so the jury is out on whether these are a win. They've got more of a suspension base now and it's a base-eating monster. This is an older version, so no issues.

Love the color, hard to fault.

Milani Lavender

Found this at the Dollar Tree. It's a lovely mix of darker purple and lavender glitter. I wish it was a bit more dense, but it's not bad. If you see it, if you like purple glitter, this might be a win!

Missha Purple Stone Glitter

A real bear of a polish. First you've got this gorgeous disco ball glitters that are fabulous, next you've got a thick base, and finally you have a brush that really can't deal with it all. It's very hard to get it to spread around well. Well, you can see it's a bit patchy.

Meanwhile you've got a gorgeous glitter and a quick drying base.  I probably need to try again and see if I can wrestle it into a better wearing.

No longer on the Missha site and not popping up on eBay, but it is on Amazon. Unique bright lavender with a potential for wall to wall coverage. Just have to master it!

L.A. Girl Glitter Addict Eutopia

Got a jones for royal purple glitter? This is a powerhouse.

Two coats, great coverage.

Understated Toppers

Here are a pair of toppers that I feel like I didn't really realize fully in my photographs. Still, they are nice. I wanted to post them anyhow.

OPI I Juggle...Men

Came out with their Femme de Cirque collection in 2011.

It's a delicate blue/purple shifting glass fleck that looks blue most of the time.

I have to say that it was a bit of a hassle because it was so darn diluted.

My photog skills don't maximize it, but if you enlarge, you can see the shift, especially on the bottom part of the photo collage.

I think it is so pretty and delicate, it would be very nice over lighter colors, over black it is completely overwhelmed.

I Juggle...Men is still available around the web, apparently is was a limited edition and isn't in the stable of regular OPI shades, it is unique as a blue glass fleck, but in an upcoming post, you will see that there are many other options. Though, IJM is quite delicate and understated.

Missha Pink Pearl Top Coat

More dense, full of bronze and pink color shifting glass fleck.

Two coats, much oomph. I only wish the particles were larger.

It's much more beautiful than my photo really captures. I just love it.

Full recommendation on this one. It's a mix of color which is a nice thing in a topper.

Still found by searching the Missha USA website. Though it didn't appear readily in the nail polish offering. Grab this one before you regret missing it.

No! Yes! More Missha HGR01

Silly, I know, but I thought, I'd show that it is a bit translucent and can be layered, even though it is dense in a couple of coats.

Regarding the formula: very wonderful. Fast drying and best of all, to me, it smells like tea rose, almost minty, too. Perfection!
I think the formula puts it off the radar of faves. It really is beyond fantastic. I wore this on a road trip and it never chipped.

Even wore "the hell" out of the following layer and because the old Sally Hansen "shellac" formula was brittle, after time long cracks emerged, but nothing chipped. Ever.

Gush much?

Here's a shot of the Baroque Frost that I layered it over:

It is a golden olive that needs it's own blog entry, but for now suffice it to say that it's a sheer shimmer needing five coats to really cover. Loads of sparkly shimmer, but so sheer. Franken? Top coat? Still up for discussion!

You still get that tasty foil minty green, but you can pull more yellow out, too:

So it pulls a wee bit more golden with the base. Booya!

Still, you get the blue shift:

Excuse the bubbles, the topcoat was in dire need of thinning.

There you have it! Missha HGR01. Chalking it up onto the pages of favorites in my book.

Missha, Missha, Missha!

Perhaps you will be patient with me. I've got a lot of photos here. Why? Because I think I've found my dream green duochrome.

Sheer delight.

Some more sun shots:

Now shade:

It is a very unusual polish. It looks like it could be a frost, but it is those small particles, like a foil, but not so metallic, that make it up. This isn't a shimmer, but another thing. New and not just glassy, but full of color and sparkle.

Here is the bottle:

Never really going gold, it goes into a bit of a warm green, hinting at a jade. Dare I say "peridot"? ;)
Fortunately it's not a gold or a yellow.

More interior shots:

Sorry, pure indulgence at this point....hehe.

Emerald foil??? What up that??? Nooooiiiiiiice!!!

Blue? NO! YES!!!!

*pant, pant, pant*

Too much. Too, too much.

Must split blog post....
