Indian Sari

IBD Beauty has an unfortunate name, but a great collection of polishes.

I don't have a lot, but do pick them up as I find them.

Here's a head turner.

IBD Beauty Indian Sari

Excuse the smudge!
Quick and dirty over a glitter bomb so it shows the poor application as well as the residual bumps of the micro glitter below.

Meanwhile, this super saturated orchid purple is only enhanced by the blue and red shimmer that goes crazy in the sun.

I took this with a flash and so you can see just at the tip of my index finger the shimmers.

I found mine at Head2Toe Beauty, they have an extensive collection. At $3.00 a pop: winner!

Thanks for reading my little nail polish journal!

Simple Lavender Pinks

I've been pleasantly surprised by Maybelline Color Show polishes. I often pick them up at the Dollar Tree or Big Lots, but occasionally I grab one at the drug store.

Maybelline Ultra Violet

This one is from the Dollar tree, but it's a pretty bright lavender pink that covers well in two coats.

They call it a "bleached neon" and I don't know when this collection came out, but I figure a spring or summer outing.

I really love this one. Very impressive.

I compared it to IBD's Cashmere Cutie

All are three coats, but two will do.

I think the IBD is a very nice polish, but dries a little bit more satin-like than the very glossy Maybelline..

I found IBD online at Nail Supplies and tried out a couple of bottles. This is a good formula. Worth looking into as it runs about the same as Maybelline when you factor in shipping. Since there aren't a ton of swatches and IBD is more known for its gel polishes, it doesn't have the swatches out there.

Though it seems like I am, I don't have to work too hard to tell you that it is a good brand and I've been pleasantly surprised by the ones I've tried.

Blue Movies

IBD Beauty Hollywood Royalty

Soft royal blue that has a beautiful glass fleck shimmer.

Three coats, no top coat and two coats would have been fine. The nicest formula. I mean wow, just fabulous. Sad when you see a beautiful polish like this for $3 at Head2Toe and have to wrestle with a Sally Hansen that is $8.

It does have a soft pink shift, but not really showing super strong.

You can see it here and it's so nice.

Hard to fault this and I see that Head2Toe still carries this polish at a wonderful price.
This is part of a small Tinseltown collection. I will say that this is a better formula than a bulk of my Essies. Just saying!

When I think of this brand I think of gel polish, I see it a lot in the Nails Magazine I get. It was nice to see this regular polish be such a great little formula.
