Gold Roses - Zoya Shivon

Shivon (Siobhan) by Zoya came out about the time I was just getting into my nail blog and it was a super popular shade.

It's a gorgeous deep rose shimmer loaded with gorgeous gold shimmer. I have to admit I love it.

Zoya Shivon

Two coats here, no tinted base coat. A third coat may have enhanced it, but it's not that sheer, though it can behave that way, so it could be a beautiful topper over a berry, rose, red, or purple.

I found it easy to work with and it wore very well, so no complaints from me.

All that gold!

It's hard not to love this. While I have a ton of polishes with gold shimmer, and a lot of reds, this one just holds its own.

I think that there are plenty of glass fleck polishes with this same shade combo ( I have it next to Colors by Llarowe Shot Through The Heart, they are related. Blogged here)

I can NOT find this color on Zoya any longer, so it must have been discontinued. It's still around online, though.  Quite sad, because it's a classic shade and hardly what I'd call dated in this "year of marsala" hype. It's going to fit the bill in that department.

Thanks for reading my little nail polish journal!

  1. Reminds me of Zoya Tinsley- do you own that? Is it almost a dupe?

    1. Hi!
I don't think I do, but I feel like Tinsley is the "glass fleck" version of this polish.
      I want it. Of course!!!
      LOL!
      You've created a serious lemming!

  2. It is pretty, but being a big glassfleck fan I guess I prefer Tinsley, since karyn brought it up..I'd never heard of Shivon/Siobhan...must be before my time as far as Zoyas are concerned. Of course I didn't really know about Zoyas at all til about three years ago!
