Green to Gaze Upon

Here is the final green for March.

It's a layering combo, so sit down, enjoy.

How did we get there?

Base is BB Courture Redwood Forest, which was a blogger collaboration with Vampy Varnish many years ago, but a gorgeous color. Scroll down for a separate shot of this one.
One coat of BB Couture Redwood Forest.

Below that is OPI Jade is the New Black (you really can't see it, but it brightens Redwood Forrest up a touch). I popped on two coats, just to use it up. I have a lot of greens and could have used something else.

Topper is Polished for Days Cosmic Dust, a red to gold to green shifter, amazing. One coat.

The shift is great, the pigment is dense. It's a mind twister if you love the shift of red to green.
Still available on Polished for Days. Super professional site and shipping is great. They run a For the Love of Polish box, and they know what they are up to.

Here is another shot, the first one was under lamp, these are outside:

The sparkle in the sunshine and the green shift never do less than delight.

Here is Redwood Forest alone:

I love this guy. It is so nice with a glass fleck throughout that sparkles.

Top photo is under daylight corrected lights with flash, second one is outside.

Still available at BB Couture. You have to search BB couture nail polish, it will help.

If you can grab the Polished for Days, you won't be unhappy. It's so wonderful.

From the Lost Files

I had done a few swatches back in March 2017 and in an organizational fury, I put them in a folder, which I promptly ignored in plain sight.

Here are these timely summery mints.

BB Couture Kyona Beach

BB Couture came out with a few charity exclusives after the Haitian hurricane disaster in 2010.

A lovely crushed turquoise, I think this brand is wholly underappreciated.

Excellent formula, wear, and decent dry time. Love it.

They have an excellent selection and they keep a wide array of stock, so you're not driven by "limited edition-itis".

Recommend you check out their site.

Milani Mint Crush

This turned me into lobster hands and I really had to tweak this photo.

Two coats, but not a fun polish to work with. Thick, goopy, unwieldy.

It might have been improved with thinning.

Recommend, not any more.

Here's it doing the cat's nine lives as a stamping polish:

Saved! Over a taupe whose name I forgot to write down it does an excellent job.

Talk about slacker, I forgot the plate info, too.

*hangs head in shame*

Meanwhile, buzz on over to BB Couture: their stuff is always very well done.
(not affiliated, I buy my own polish) :D

Bassin's Bleu and Dior Peppermint

BB Couture's Bassin's Bleu was a limited addition polish to help out Haiti.

I bought two: Bassin's Blue and Kyona Beach.

Here's is Bassin's Bleu:

I love this color, but it took a little tweaking in Photoshop Elements to match the bottle, I think I got it.

Then I added some of Dior  391, Peppermint. It's a sheer top coat:

Here are some more photos: (just cuz I love the color and the glitter!)

A close up with the label of the Dior 391:

Peppermint has a distinctly blue cast to it.

Here's a bottle comparison to Zoya South Beach Ice

Identical in texture to the Zoya, but a different color.

BB Couture - Pipe Bender - Give Me That Blue Flash!

This is BB Couture's "Pipe Bender"
It's from their "Couture for Men" collection. A lot of nice colors to choose from, but loving greens the way I do, I found myself  falling for "Pipe Bender", a dark green with a heavy blue flash. So prominent is the flash that I really thought of vintage auto paint colors when I saw it on my nails.

Here are the photos, only marred by sheet marks. This polish did take a bit of time to dry.

Thanks for reading!!!
