Office Spices Duke It Out

Two contenders: Sally Hansen Caramel Nut Creme and Borghese Toscano Spice.

I have mixed feelings about one of these polishes and the other is a dead WINNAH?

Can you guess which is which?

I bet you can!

Well in a "nut"shell - hint hint - the winner went on in two coats, has a luscious creaminess and wore very well!
The other was a three coater, and a tad bit on the sheer side even then. Top it off it's a bit more frosty than I recalled.

Have you guessed?

The winner is Sally Hansen's Caramel Nut Creme!

The loser here is Borghese's Toscano Spice.

I have these both categorized under "orange-ish" polishes. Toscano Spice went from being a "rose" but I have been trying to fine tune it a bit more. I've worn the Borghese before, but after seeing it again, it's too frosty, plus it's always been a bit sheer.
The Sally Hansen Nut Creme? Lovely: very much a terra cotta color and bearing little resemblance to any caramel I've ever popped into my mouth! I kind of have a nail polish crush on it! Why? Because in a previous post about a nude I was griping about how little pigment was in the bottle (Remember Cafe Au Lait?) but this is so nice!

I have a megash!tload of old Sally's, and I now can't wait to crack them open and start trying them out.

Caramel Nut for the WIN!!!
Toscano Spice: Not loving  it by comparison.

Thank you so much for reading my little nail polish journal!

( what a cute post ) I am looking forward to seeing all those oldies.... It makes me feel a little better about tossing out all my old ones.

  3. Thanks so much, everyone!
I have to say that the Borghese felt like there was filler material to take the place of pigment,
I will start cracking out more of the oldies, there are some nice ones!

  4. I prefer the SH too. I don't like the frostiness of the Borghese...blech.

  5. I agree!
Plus VNL not shown in the photo, that also was a bummer!

  6. Caramel Nut is really pretty. The other is too frosty looking for me.

  7. The borghese is just not for "me". Plus I've got about 12 "rose" or "spice" shades. At some point it's overkill!
