Sephora By OPI I Don't Bite

Sephora used to have a great line with their own name but clearly "made by" OPI. Now they have Formula X, which I hear is pretty nice, too, and I have one or two that haven't been blogged as of yet.
It's mystery as to who makes Sephora's Formula X these days, but someone posted a dupe that was in the Essie stable, although that is nothing to totally rest your case on.

In the meantime, I'm enjoying the job-lotted leavings of old Sephora by OPI. From their Super Sale at the end, to Big Lots, Ross, and TJ Maxx findings.

Back to my Big Lots! find of Sephora I Don't Bite.

Three coats, no top coat.

Icy shimmering glass fleck. It's beautiful foil finish is peppered with bright shimmer sparkles that keep it from being a  flat metallic.

I adore this one and am glad I found it!

Big Lots! doesn't have many Sephora by OPI polishes any more, but these are online on Amazon and eBay and other oddball places. I know that I personally like the heft of the bottle - quite well anealed - and the shape.

Thanks for reading my little nail polish journal!

  1. Very nice!! I have this one, and I realize in looking at my Pinterest board I think I've maybe ever worn one out of the handful that I have from this brand... Which would be "If You've Got It, Haunt It" :D. I should wear this one!

I was in JCP Sephora the other day, and picked up a Formula X called Funky (only b/c it was half price). I can't find it online, they don't seem to get searched/blogged about much. When I put it on a nail wheel I kind of wondered about an Essie I had sitting there called Bell-Bottom Blues. They don't seem that similar in the bottle, but seemed similar painting them on the nail wheel. So that would explain things. I tend to not wear most of my Essie's either so I'm not sure why I bother buying them even occasionally like I do...

    1. They did some Formula X in the beginning and discontinued a bunch, too.
      I see them at Ross.
I wonder if they changed makers?

  2. ooh that is pretty! I want to say I saw somewhere that Kendo makes the formula X line. I personally really like the Formula X polishes a lot more than I ever did the Sephora by OPI.

    1. Nice! Good to know! I want a whole bunch of them, they are very pricey, similar to $OPI, so I do it in smaller bites.
