Sally Hansen Purple Chrome Diamond

No punny titles here!

Sally comes through!

This is two coats of Sally Hansen Purple Diamond Chrome hard at work!

This has a couple of coats of ridge filler below to smooth out the finish, which is pretty important with chrome-type finishes.

I would say that this has a tiny bit of shimmer, and isn't purely chrome, as you can see there isn't total uniformity in color.

Dried beautifully and applied easily. I think this plummy shade of purple evokes nothing in the realm of diamonds, though.

I will say that if you aren't careful with drying, you will get dents, so be aware of that. This is without a topcoat, so it has a soft, satin-like feel.

Thanks for reading my little nail polish journal!

  1. Gorgeous! I have to say, ever since failing miserably at applying these many eons ago when I first purchased mine, I haven't even thought of wearing them as the base for a manicure. Now you've got me thinking... the passage of time + better application skills may yet make for a successful Sally Hansen Chrome mani!

    1. I think that is it for me, too. Early on, w/o a ridge filler, they were a mess, but with one, and clean up it helps.
      A lot!
