I Want Candy!

Here's a layering treat:

First I have this unnamed pink by Color Club that was in the All About Color set I purchased at Ross. I did three coats. A plummy purple, with a shimmer that was sweet.

I then added a couple coats of Sally Hansen HD Wavelength, a pretty coral-ish frosty shimmer kind of thing.

The bottles:

The results:

Nice! The glow of Wavelength really popped with those glassy bits sprinkled about.

The next day I added a few other doo dads.

I pulled out a bottle of Maybelline Colorama Lilac Freeze. This is a lavender frost with a popping purple shimmer. This case really it toned down the hotness of the base, which was really what I was after, and the shimmer really didn't play a part in this layering exercise.
One coat did what I needed.

Then I found WetnWild Glitz, a glitter with two shades of pink, a and a blue. Two coats was perfect.

Bottles:

The result:

Please excuse the cuticles!!!!

I love this combo, it's so sweet and demure underneath, yet has that fun glitter pop in contrast.

Thanks for reading my little nail polish journal!!

  4. Woo, lovely. Overboard isn't something I'd wear alone but the combo is great.

Overboard is in my hot pinks, great for summer - and a tan! :D
