Ahoy Me Buckos!

In keeping with the Pirate theme of the last post I thought I'd show the other Sinful I grabbed: Seaweed, which is a knock-off of OPI's Stranger Tides. On the other hand, it could be a mix up of Stranger Tides and Skull and Gloss bones. I don't have either to compare. I know! Sorry!

Here is Seaweed by Sinful:

A beautiful two coater pale khaki. Zero complaints on this one!!

Here I thought about some home grown layering...

I put on a coat of WetnWild Starstruck.
Starstruck is one of those Ross multi pack polishes that is a glassy glittery translucent layering polish. Never builds, but imparts this glossy faintly opalescent top coat. Truly a "gloss bones" if there ever was one! It's the older rectangular bottle with no tapering at the base. I googled it and it's still around for pretty cheaply had. A top drawer layering polish, not piece-y, but will impart this glossy shimmer. Nifty!

I was going to add Hidden Treasure or another flake, but I kind of got sidetracked with the following comp...oooops.

Khaki brethren:

A perfect fit in that color family.

In lower light it goes more putty, but still has that green tint.

I feel as though this is a sweet find. A loveable khaki. Not too dark, not too green.

Thanks for reading my nail polish journal!

  2. Gorgeous layering. I don't know what you're talking about tho. I think all khakis are lovable. :P I need to go pick this and that dirty chartreuse up.
