I had a comment from Purple Green Joy asking about Princessa. I wanted to bundle a few together and get them posted on one post.
I have a handful of them and want more. Richon is the parent company and Ross carries a lot of Richon eyeshadow, I kind of hope that another batch of Princessa's will show up. They never really seem to, though.
I did go to the Richon website, but it looks like it's made pretty much by someone who either doesn't know or doesn't care, because it's hard to navigate. One time there was a massive list of polish colors, that seems to be all gone. I ended up calling them because I had a panic attack over the thought of losing my baby, Martian Jade, in some "discontinued hell" because it is an unknown brand and doesn't seem like it ever shows up at salons I visit or eBay.
Back story aside, I got the number off the site, called them and a wonderful lady helped me order some back up. Yay! Happy ending!!!
Here is a repost of Martian Jade...cuz I'm so spazzy happy when I look at it...
Here is another, it's a jelly from a different collection in a different box. No names, but very beautiful:
The other polishes were odd. One was a purple shimmer, one a pink creme with a pink shimmer (oddly a bad formula, so who knows), the other was a very sheer "water" wine. I will get more of these down the pike.
Ok, here are some is some new blood!
Let's do it!
Here is Everglade Sparkle
Three coats.
Chartreuse perfection.
I am a sucker for a foil, so that was my bias here, but it is a tasty green/yellow.
I think of blooming daffodils.
I will admit that I am a sucker for a good formula, and this one, hands down likes me (It really likes me!!!) so it dries fast, wears well, and I do love it when I don't have to duke it out with the formula.
I wore Martian Jade for days and days last summer, no chips.
Next we have a purple foil called Purple Storm:
I swapped for Purple Storm, and am very glad I did, it's a lovely purple foil. Three coats, and the usual wear that is fabulous. Zero complaints, lots of lauds and love.
Last of this batch: Picking on Waikiki.
I honestly don't know if that is a funny surfing term or someone isn't a native English speaker and they were put in charge of naming polish. Odd.
Glorious, luminous, fabulous. This reminds me of the China Glaze White Cap, inasmuch as it is a layering polish with a golden glint. This, though, takes it to the next level.
Plus, this polish is several years old. Masterful win.
The base is almost milky, but not heavy. I need to work on some layering with this one, I feel it's been hiding in the "yellow" section too long.
As you can see, I am pretty happy with these. I hope to order some more from Richon. The lady on the phone told me that they sell to salons, overseas, and to, ironically, Ross.
Finally, if you are interested in their polish, there is a PDF on their web site that at page 29 shows their colors.
Here is the link:
Princessa PDF
It is a PDF file, but if you use Safari as your browser, you don't have to download it, which is handy!
All right, that's a few. I've got a few more, but they are in areas that I haven't delved into organizing with gusto.
Thank you for reading my little nail polish journal!

Wheee! Thanks for the post! :D
ReplyDeletePrincessa is lovely and such an overlooked brand. Or maybe they really don't want sales and that's why it's so hard to find. I really need to get my bum in gear and contact them for Martian Jade!
And I just noticed the rotund bottles are an odd .53 oz? lol
Yeah, for some reason they are using mL to British fluid ounces instead of U.S. fluid ounces!
ReplyDeleteCrazy!
:D
Glad you enjoyed!
:D
Wow, those foils are stunners!
ReplyDeleteI love them, thank you!!!
