Spangle, sequin, fish scale, pie-ette...on my fingers

I learned to sew when I was 13. My mom taught me. I loved going to the fabric store and touching all the fabrics: soft velvets, luminous raw silk, soft georgettes and silks that seemed to sing. Then there was that section for weddings and evening wear. The fabrics sparkled and danced. Though, as a kid, I never really needed any of these fabrics, it was a blast to just go look at all these seriously grown up textiles.

So what is a paillette? Or a Pie-ette? It's a large sequin that affects the fishscale look. Sewn onto a garment, as the garment moves, it shimmers in the light. Beading can affect the same thing, and beads have many finishes. The colors of paillettes are bright, changing, and metallic and foil and dichroic and and and... well so many. hehehe...

What is more beautiful than that same color and sparkle on a person's hands?

Regarding blog business: I am finding a way to host photos and will post soon on the categories of my spreadsheet. It's getting huge. Over 80 polishes.
