I freely admit that several of my polishes in my collection are straight up from seeing them on other blogs. I'm not always the "color genius" I'd like to imagine myself to be, ok delude myself to be, let's be honest here, and when I see a color that kicks my brain into happy overdrive, I work very hard to find it.
Witness Amoresse Cool in the Pool
Dusty cobalt in that pink blue family.
Not as intense as Orly Charged Up, nor as purple as Misa Throw Me Something Purple Please.
Three coats. Easy to use.
Round bottle, which is unusual, but not an unwelcome site when I open my little drawer of blue polishes!
Perfectly creamy, not a jelly, not a hidden shimmer, not a sorbet, not a crelly, not a soy latte light on the whip cream.
Love this polish. A lot.
Thought I'd toss out a couple of the old layering polishes, too.
Bottle shots in same order:
Sally Hansen's Unnamed glass fleck is a great match. Not too dense, but not too lean. Glad I never unloaded this in a fit of purging pique.
Revlon Glimmer Gloss is in a blue, albeit marine blue, base, with scanter glitter than I wished, but more than shows in the photos.
Princessa is called Tang-erine or Tangi-My Night (there are two actually named this) can't recall which, that are pretty sheer, but perhaps not sheer enough to really let the Amoresse show through. Reminds me of Sally Hansen Sea and Be Seen.
I had to hunt this polish down in an obscure little spot on the interwebz but was so glad to find it.
Thanks for reading my little nail polish journal!
That blue is simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have to agree it's pretty amazing!
DeleteBeautiful blue & I love seeing the layering combinations! I don't think I have any Amoresse in my stash.
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteIt's pretty hard to find, I only found it online at a salon. So odd!
