My first Franken-polish and a "super score" at Ross

I really love the milky white pastel colors I've seen by Tonymoly. Also London Butter's Muggins.

I call it a grayed-out or muted periwinkle.
Under tungsten or incandescent light it is much more gray. Under daylight its blue comes through and through.

There is a bit of dark purple, navy, some pinks and some white added to this creme. It's not perfect, I might add some more white and some more blue to it, we will see how it plays out. In the future I need to keep a little notepad on the recipe, this would certainly help aid in recreating a color, or better yet, improving it next time around.

For a first effort, I am truly pleased with the results, there is nothing like a pale violet blue to make my heart sing. Ziiiiiing!

Ross find-0-rama!

On another exciting note: there was a flurry of excitement on the Makeup Alley Nail Board (I just discovered this amazing place a few weeks ago...man, polish junky hq!) about Ross Dress for Less getting Color Club sets in their store! Well, I've never had any luck at Ross as far as ANY good brands of nail polish. Sometimes I'll see a bunch of Maybelline, some weird brands like Princessa (though that has been the awesome find of Martian Jade, my top ten polish), Rimmel, or other no-name brands. Altogether not a great "find" location for top names. This really does suck. A lot.

When I heard the "nail vine" chattering away I thought, DAWG, I've got a Ross, and we are in the middle of NOWHERE, so maybe no one has figured this out..if they even get Color Club. So, I sprinted over to Ross as soon as they opened and to my ever-lovin' happy surprise: there sat four sets of Color Club!

BOOOOOOING!!!! I think my eyes popped out of my head! I was quite sure that by the time I got there it would be GONE.

I grabbed all four sets!

The SCORE:

Color Club Neon Shades
Color Club Glitter Vixen
Color Club Musique (2)

HAPPY DANCE!!!!
At 7.99 a pack, it was deal-o-rama!!!

There is no explaining how neat it was to find this! I usually pay about $2.50 a bottle plus the shipping costs, so, this is, to say the least, a nail polish super score, for me. One poor bottle had burped up some polish, but that's not the end of the world.

The only thing that would be better? To have a TJ Maxx or something so I could occasionally find an OPI or Sparitual or other brands.

One can dream.
